Functional and affordable backup buoy system
RESQUNIT is a functional and affordable backup buoy system with a programmable electronic release mechanism to locate and retrieve lost fishing gear. The system is easy to install and is self-operating. No user interaction required after the initial setup.
The device features a buoy linked to your gear via a robust line, set to surface when triggered by an electronic time lock, facilitating easy gear retrieval. See ‘RETRIEVAL’ for more information.
The included Electronic Time Release (ETR) is fully customizable via our mobile app, allowing for personalized usage. This mechanism is auto-reset every time the gear is lifted from the sea, needing only an initial setup. Optionally, you can create holes in RESQUNIT’s black frame for trapped creatures to escape when the buoy is deployed - a simple yet effective way to end ghost fishing.
